In Austria, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has stayed for official visit. At meetings there, Osmani has stressed that Kosovo has met all criteria for visa liberalisation for what it has asked the European Union to abide by the promise of Kosovars.
“The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in the wake of the official visit to Austria, has met members of the Kosovo Friendship Association HINA Austria, held a speech at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna and met a group of successful Austrian women at the invitation of Austria's First Lady, Doris Schmidt. During the meeting with the Kosovo Friendship Association, Austria, led by Eurodeput Lucas Mandl, President Osmani has thanked the state of Austria for supporting Kosovo in various stages throughout history. It has stressed that Kosovo has already met all criteria for visa liberalisation, so it has asked the EU to abide by the promise of Kosovars. Furthermore, President Osmani has demonstrated the conviction that Austria will continue to stand in the side of Kosovo as well as in the process of European integration, as well as in that of Euro-Atlantic integration”, the media communique from the president's office said.

At this meeting, the challenges and opportunities women in the public and private sector face were discussed, as well as in society in general. The president discussed women's role in bringing about a significant political change and expressed the need for investments in education and health care to enable and empower women to be equal in the labour market, as well as the need to create more jobs for young people and women.
At the conclusion of the first day of the visit to Austria, President Osmani has held lectures at the Diplomat Academy in Vienna, with the theme “Forciation of Kosovo citizenship- Challenges and stories of success”. Through this interactive discourse, President Osmani has unveiled the roads of the people of Kosovo towards independence and statehood, and has discussed the challenges facing the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, the successes that have been achieved and the goals.
