The U.S. vows to help India cope with pandemic

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said on May 28th that Washington wants to make it clear that it will take steps to assist India in the pandemic crisis.
In the early days of the pandemic, India was there for the United States something we would never forget”, Blinken said.
Now we want to make sure we're there for India”.
Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who spent last week in the US, with the aim of providing aid, has been close to Blinkent, as the latter spoke from the State Department.
Jaishankar has said that India is grateful to the US for the powerful “support and solidarity at this very difficult moment for us”.
India has recorded more than 27 million cases of coronary and over 318,000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University data.
India is the second country after the United States in the number of infected and dead, but both figures are believed to be much lower because the situation may be more serious.
Currently, only 3 percent of India's population has been completely vaccinated. / REL
