Over 120 thousand people have lost their jobs due to pandemics during 2020, the chairman of the Private Sector Workers Union, Yusuf Azemi, said in an interview for Online Economics. Azem added that it is ridiculous for the country's institutions to declare that the number of job seekers has decreased.
“in 2020 there were 120 thousand workers who lost their jobs, 60 thousand were in a legalized shape, and I'm surprised at the numbers they're giving the different institutions that the number of job seekers dropped in 2021 and it's something funny, but it could happen because some of the workers don't want to work on a 250-euro salary, and a large part of them have escaped out of<x1. “...as unions we've been interviewing for abuses because in this misuse the owners of companies, along with the government of Kosovo and the normal ones that we've pushed to all organs”, Azemi told EO.
Azem has called on the country's government not to continue the unreasonable stimulus and the means not to be divided for companies that have had great benefits during this time.
“We have said that the government has divided means after no criteria provided primarily these companies that have received 290 euros per head of the worker primarily these companies have had the largest circulation in their history, while many locals have been closed and gained per cent of”. On the other hand, he said it is their obligation to convey the demands of the workers to relevant institutions.
