Mary Duffy from Connecticut, though 71-year-old, is experiencing another youth. She says she feels better than 30 years ago. The reason? Dedicatement at the gym.
The big curve began in 2007 when her mother passed away and Mary took many pounds. She regularly began attending the gym and was able to lose more than 20 pounds [20 kg] in the first year. Soon, she became champion for her age in lifting weights.
Currently, Mary spends at least 20 hours a week in the gym, while there are more than 30 national and international records for her age.
I was going to the gym when I was getting a fast pound. I looked myself in the mirror and I said, this isn't me”, it tells Mary, writes the Daily Mail.
I fell from weight quickly and realized that the more training I received I enjoyed attending the gym. I am currently 71 years old and feel much better physically than when I was 40 years old. Many people tell me that I am too old to do this, but inspiring comments are many times more, and that makes me continue my routine. I'm not giving up”
