AAK criticises the VV's decision to pay the current in the north: We'll follow the legal procedures.

AAK MP Pal Lekaj said he has criticised the Commission's adoption of the Economy recommendations regarding COST's request for providing financial means for covering losses in the northern part of Kosovo, adding that legal procedures will follow. On the other hand, he said the government has witnessed [...] this move.

On the other hand, he said that the Government has proved it has no capacity to effectively implement the Law in the country.

And the amount of 11 million Kosovo citizens have to pay is surprising that even after the reach of energy independence, the Government of Kosovo is being blackmailed by Serbs except financial damage. With this decision the government is agreeing that there is no potential to punish violators who misuse the current. The government is testifying that the capacity to implement the Law effectively in the entire territory of Kosovo. Kurti government, with the decision on paying 11m euros, violated the equality of citizens”, he said.

We have not paid any moment, while those who have come to power with these promises have broken it, and especially when the government has stopped paying 20 euros for pensioners and received 11m euros”, Lekaj added.

We will follow all legal procedures”.
