The Democratic Party of Kosovo has accused the Vetevendosje Movement of opposing its pledges, today it opened the way by vote to separate 11m euros from Kosovo's budget to pay the Serb current in the country's north.
At a media conference, PDK leadership member, at the same time Parliamentary Commission for Economics Chairman Ferat Shala has said that “with this new power decision, is directly damaging the state budget and which goes to the expense of Kosovo citizens”.
According to him, it cannot be that the same government, which about a week ago cancelled the 30 euro extensions for pensioners in the absence of money, to due today to 11m euros for paying the flow of Serbs in northern Kosovo.
The PDK will invite the economy minister to parliamentary interference.
This is Mr. Shala:
Thank you for coming in such a brief announcement from us but you noticed the scandalous developments of today's government day Kurti and the Vetevendosje Movement.
This situation deserves more than a conference.
No doubt the attention and response of the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
I believe you are all already informed of a major damage to the Kosovo budget, and directly to Kosovo taxpayers.
This damage is coming precisely from the deputies of Vetevendosje who voted in the Parliamentary Commission for Economy to allocate 11m euros to pay the electricity for Serbs in northern Kosovo.
This is the continuation of government action, Kurti 1, when it was allocated 10m euros for the payment of the Serb current in ver.
Unfortunately, we ignored our call to the Parliamentary Commission for Economics to halt this flow of public money towards northern municipalities and find a more creative solution.
This decision to pay off energy for northern Serbs comes right into a fraught pandemic situation, where even the budget of Kosovo families is being poor every day.
This money, separated from Kosovo's budget, is unfortunately maintaining crime in the country's north and parallel structures there.
As well as financing illegal and criminal activities for the production of cryptovatolus, where there is a recent increase.
So, we have a government and party like the Vetevendosje Movement that is unconditionally subject to Serbia and criminal structures there, even though for 20 years they have their mouths full against Sebri.
This power about a week ago halted the 30-euro extensions for pensioners, while today he made a decision to allocate 11m euros to pay the electricity in the country's north.
So the Kurti 1 government and Kurti 2 government are all sharing 21m euros for the December 2020 calendar year December 2021.
We like the PDK, even today at the Parliamentary Commission for Economics, have sought to find a creative solution to this situation so that the principle of citizens' equality to pay what they spend.
So we as the Parliamentary Group are against it and have started collecting signatures to invite the economy minister as soon as possible.
Our request will be filed Thursday.
