Oscar Awards Story: Interesting Details and Errors

Oscar's newest winner is Shirley Temple at the age of five, who received an honorary children award in 1934.

The oldest laureate is Christopher Plummer, who won an Oscar in 2012 at the age of 82 in the best male role category in “Beginners”.

The oldest winner of the award as the best actor is Henry Fonda, who received the award in 1982 for “On Golden Pand”. Fonda was 76 years old then.

The oldest actress is Gloria Stewart, who won the Oscar for “Titanik” in 1987 at the age of 87.

Lisa Minnelli is different from other actors after she won an Oscar award her parents received earlier. Minnelli received the award as best actress in “1973 Cabaret” Her mother, the famous Judy Guard, won the Oscar of Honor in 1939, and her father, Vincent Minnelli, for best director in 1958.

The star most Oscar won is Catherine Hepburn, 1934, 1968, 1969, and 1982. It was followed by actor Daniel Day Lewis by three Oscars.

One of the unpleasant events is Oscar delivery in 2017, when film “La La Land” was wrongly declared the best film.
