Mars is called the Red Planet, but there are other colors on Mars, the so-called “duna blue” respectively.
NASA has now published a new, spectacular photo showing such an area of the sky zone.
The picture includes an area of about 20 miles [30 km]. Dunes can be found in the Arctic Cap and are the size of the state of Texas in the United States.
The scene NASA is now showing comes from images taken from the termerical Image System instrument (TEIS) from Orbiter Mars Odyssey.
