Kurti said Kosovo sits at the negotiating table as an equal party with Serbia.
My “obligation to protect Kosovo's independence, we are for dialogue but for a good dialogue prepared and principled. First is the acceptance of reality. Kosovo's independence on the basis of the Ahtisaari Pack has been compromise, opening this package would mean opening the list of wishes and incentives that would lead to undesirable consequences. The second principle is that Serbia must accept the truth and the crimes and genocide it committed for which NATO had to bomb the Belgrade regime, even after the war in Kosovo, the new government in Serbia has not distanced itself from Milosevic. The third principle is the equality of representatives, at each table we sit equally, Kosovo is not the issue, but the party in the dialogue should be understood before any meeting”, Kurti said.
He said the first issue that needs to be resolved in talks with Serbia is the fate of the unknown.
