Addressing economic problems, reviewing agreements with the European Union and countries in the region for market liberalisation, the internal trade law and the establishment of the Commercial Court are among the urgent cases with which the Kurti Government should deal. So said the chairman of the Kosovo Council of Afarism, Skender Krasniqi.
Krasniqi says the new government must first address economic problems in order to have economic growth and halt increasing unemployment in the country.
He also indicated that contacts such as the Ode Afarism of Kosovo have also sought to support local production.
“We like Ode in the container have requested financial support and have submitted requests. The government's urgent request is to address economic problems -- this is a requirement on demand in order to have an economic development and stop increasing unemployment. We've requested that local production be supported by 10 per cent, on exits, for a certain time until businesses recover, but also citizens become more educated in domestic production consumption. Supporting exports by 10 per cent on the way out because we have the biggest difference between import and export, it means 90 per cent importing 10 per cent export”, Krasniqi told Kosovo Press,.
Krasniqi wants to review decisions and agreements reached with the EU, since he says these agreements have only damaged local production. He has stressed that the agreements have been badly negotiated by the state of Kosovo and that they have damaged businesses and the state budget.
Consider the decisions and agreements we have made with the European Union, with the Balkan Region countries because these market liberalisation agreements have unfortunately damaged local production instead of increasing local production. Import has increased instead of growing. While countries of the region as a result of these business interest deals have more export growth than import growth. We have done an analysis, and for only five years from the SAA agreement, we have increased import for 1,000 and 800 percent compared to export, while countries in the region such as Albania have increased 10 per cent more export than import, Macedonia has increased 20 per cent more export than import. It means that the agreements they signed have been well negotiated on the part of states, while the agreements we signed we have been highly negotiated against business and local production growth, increased employment and increased state budget”, Krasniqi stressed.
Krasniqi has mentioned other laws he says the new government should deal with.
There's a lot of requirements that are changing the labor Law, changing the language law, so that it doesn't owe you 20 years of business to pay two salaries for a job, is the Commercial Court Law, the Law of Agriculture, the Law of Agriculture for Three Interiors, and many other laws that the government has available, the TVS landing in five percent on food and hotels in order to increase production, and to increase the business of hotels, the law on mines, the law on strategic investments that it has been given in three years' time to change, and to move in an emergency country where we create an offer for investors so that we do not have many other employment laws and management laws to avoid the country's economic development, and to begin with the implementation of the implementation of the implementation of the new economy.
In addition, Krasniqi highlighted the need to establish the Commercial Court, a court mentioned by past government but nothing was done in that direction. What he said businesses need for this court, adding that the state should be a protector of businesses rather than a destroyer.
“Nevoja for a Commercial Court is emergency because classes take years to address business problems. While the state has taken a legal act establishing courts, decisions within its institutions such as ATK and Kosovo Customs [... ] For a commercial court, there is an extreme need because even foreign businesses do not come to invest in Kosovo when a subject takes years to address. We have an extreme need for this court, which was discussed in the past government as well, but has remained hostage as a result of the government's rapid change of government being dealt with urgently. Then the internal trade law. We need emergency because just the state with the decisions and permits it's giving to open businesses is destroying certain businesses because there's an irregular competition establishing businesses without doing analysis of whether the market needs that kind of business or not. The state should be a defender of businesses, rather than a business-breaking one, unfortunately has behaved more as a business destroyer than defender”, Krasniqi says of Kosova Press.
