There is great fear worldwide that the variation in question resists the vaccine, at least in part, writes Jerusalem Post, translates Periscope.
The Israeli government planned to vote on the plan to increase airport controls Tuesday, but time was spent before discussing it.
Most have entered Israel from India, but some have entered from other countries.
The minister of Health stressed that there was not yet clear information about the implications of the Indian version for cured people or vaccinated.
