France, Kosovo with French language learning agreement by Kosovo diplomats

The French Embassy in Kosovo and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora signed on Tuesday memorandum of understanding and protocol of the trilateral agreement for the French language courses of Kosovo officials 2020-2021, through which senior officials will be allowed to continue teaching French, as well as [...]
So said on the occasion of signing this agreement by France's Ambassador Marie-Christie Bultel and the director of the MPJD Diplommatic Academy, Sabri Kicmar.
In this case, Kicmar said this is an important moment for both countries, while expressing gratitude for the help France has given Kosovo over the years.
He stressed that through agreements reached today, a good opportunity is being opened to all Kosovo diplomats for French language instruction.
“The funding that has helped our country pass the heavy time of occupation and gain freedom has been and remains a loving and friendly country for Kosovo citizens. Through today's act of co-operation we are opening a good opportunity for all diplomats of the Republic of Kosovo to learn French and participate in training organised in France by the National Administration School. This memorandum of co-operation is in service of deepening relations not only between Kosovo and France, but also between Kosovo and all people of member states of the International Francophony Organisation”, he said.
France's ambassador to Kosovo, Marie-Christie Bhutel, said activities derived from this memorandum of co-operation would contribute to the advancement of Francophony in Kosovo, as well as to the reinforcement of public administration capacities, as an essential element in the country's European perspective.
She said the current situation with pandemics has led some activities to be delayed for a while, but that they are expected to be realised this year.
Of the seminars expected to be held this year, Bhutel said to be: “Political Activity” and “Ifluence diplomacy”, provided within this co-operation.
“These activities as a whole will contribute to the advancement and progress of fracophony in Kosovo. The Republic of Kosovo is an associate member of the International Francophony Organisation, and I enjoy that fact very much. At the same time, these training will be able to reinforce capacities in public administration, which remains an essential element to advance towards concreteisation in Kosovo's European perspective”, she said.
Initial French language courses end this week, while through the signing of the memorandum on co-operation between the French Embassy in Kosovo and the MPJD Diplomat Academy, senior Kosovo officials will be able to continue to learn French at the highest level.
