The Kosovo Business Alliance has announced that in a research it conducted from 9-12 April, 30,000 Kosovars have left the country and have gone to Albania, which spent about 100 euros a day.
GDP Chairman Agim Sahini said that in Albania during the weekend Kosovars spent 10m euros in Albania.
Sahin has said that the UN has conducted research from April 9th to April 12th that citizens spent weekends in Albania as the measures are in effect.
For these four days, Kosovo has released 30,000 business citizens, politicians, athletes, state officials who passed through Durres, Tirana, spending about 100 euros a day including accommodation, drinking, transportation, road taxes. “The GDP has estimated that Kosovars spent 10m euros on weekends in Albania after the government closed shopping centres, hotels and cafes. 90% spend all the capital when Kosovars get out. Only 5% of visitors from Albania return and visit Kosovo against those who leave Kosovo. On this weekend there were no visitors to Kosovo because of measures”, he said.
Sahin has recommended government that after April 18th complete business work be allowed
