Who's in the Royal Family?
Queen Elizabeth II was at the helm of the United Kingdom from 1952 when his father, King George VI, died. It has ruled longer than any other British monarch. She was also in charge of the state for 15 other countries of Commonwealth.
The 94-year-old Royale and her husband's Duke of Edinburgh [Prince Philip], who is 99, have four children, eight in their nieces, and nine great-great-great-great-daughters, writes the BBC, Periscopi translates.
Other members of the Royal family include:
- Prince of Wales [Prince Charles], 72, who married the Cornwall Duchess [Camilan] he is the queen's oldest son and will become king when she dies.

Someone who marries a royal family member becomes a member of the family and receives a certain title.
For example, Lady Diana Spencer became Princess of Wales when she married Prince Charles in 1981.
However, to become king or queen, you must be born into a royal family.
