Israeli Journal Haaretz Her article has started with the title “Under pressure from Turkey, Kosovo can reverse the decision to open the embassy in Jerusalem”, the Express newspaper reports.

On Monday Kurti met with Turkey's ambassador to Pristina, and the decision to open the Kosovo Embassy in Jerusalem has been one of the topics of discussion. The location where the embassy will be established will be reviewed after reviewing outgoing government documents”, Israeli media quoted Kurti's statement after meeting with the Turkish ambassador.

On 1 February, Kosovo linked diplomatic relations with Israel and decided to open its embassy in Jerusalem by becoming the first predominantly Muslim European state to make that decision by following the US and Guatemala that have also decided to open their embassies in Jerusalem.

Turkish President Erdogan has warned Kosovo that such a move could damage relations with his state in the future.

“I believe it would be a benefit to avert such a move that would cause great damage to Kosovo”, Erdogan had said.
