One of them suffered serious head injuries, but is not in danger of life, a police spokesman said.
According to television footage, protesters knocked the officer off the engine before hitting him.
The clashes began during a demonstration of five thousand people in a suburb of the capital.
The protestors' anger came after publishing a video last Sunday in which an agent is seen beating up a young man with a stick during anti-Condavid raids.
The agent has been suspended pending investigation.
After yesterday's clashes, 16 people were arrested and tried today. Police have reported crimes such as “attempting murder”, “heavy intelligence”, “violent”, “corruption of common order and peace”, as well as “firework”.
Today thousands of students have protested in Athens against a law founded by a university policeman.
