Africa Muciqi asks an embarrassing question to the health ministry official

In a TV debate at RTV21 he has asked MSHA official Faik Hoti if this minister has taken action after the number of people infected with Ovid-19 has increased because of the election campaign.

“said the measures should be respected. You as minister have either influenced or raised your voice against the phenomena of political parties that have violated these measures in the most drastic way possible”, Muqi asked.

I am asking as a citizen of Kosovo. We had 220-230 cases ahead of the election campaign, while 10 days after the campaign, the number exceeded 600. Should anyone even take a moral responsibility and apologise to all Kosovo citizens or just have to criminalise some business”, he added.

Meanwhile, according to Faik Hoti, official in the MSH, the number of increased cases is the result of increased testing rates. But he did not deny the impact of the election campaign on spreading the disease.

I personally do not represent political subjects, I am a civil servant and a long time in the MSH. It is true that the campaign has affected negatively and had a bad impact on worsening the situation, but as far as figures are concerned I would say that the number of cases in Kosovo, regardless of an increase, is not more than it has been in the summer months because we should always not analyse the number of infected people only as a particular sample”, Hoti said.
