Tahiri said these bags, such as those, were seized today by Kosovo police, have had many more times. He says that since 2012 corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture has been on the highest pedestal.
We welcome this action because we have been witnessing the misuse of Kosovo budget tools and the theft of public money as we saw it today, which is being stolen in bags, full of bags of money. Such types of bags have occurred many times before, since 2010 corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture is in the highest pedestal”, Tahiri said.
“We have attempted to co-operate with the agriculture ministry, we have seen there are abuses, in subsidies and grants. We have found many unworked and applied land for subsidies. Those people have taken money without planting parcels. Much of it has been 10 to 15 years since those lands are not worked, while subsidies are received”, he added.
On the other hand, he said less co-operative ministers were Memli Krasniqi, Bena Ricalo and Bessian Mustafa.
“We have offered co-operation with the ministry, but they have declined. Less co-operative by ministers has been Memli Krasniqi, Nenad Ricalo and Bessian Mustafa. We have proven that we have a lot of farmers who have been warned about abuses, about the request of the bribe, about not offering the grant because of the myth, or was not a militant of the ruling party. Many farmers have been punished for appearing in protests and placed on the blacklist for 3-4 years and have been unable to obtain grants or subvention”, Tahiri told Klan Kosova.
He stressed they filed charges 10 years ago for misusing, but according to him, the police did not accept their arguments.
We've also filed charges of extremely serious misuse 10 years ago. We have hundreds of cases of farmers who went bankrupt because of the ministry's penalties. When we went to the police for economic crimes and wanted to start the investigation proceedings, they did not accept our arguments, even though we went with full facts. That's where I've seen every port of our state is seized by politics. For this reason our voice has failed to hear, and complaints have reached deaf ears of governments that have existed so far. I have a small hope in the incoming government and I think that this case will not be erased as other case”, he said.
