This recommendation can now be used as an individual guide in European countries on possible use of the “casib” and “imdevrib” before being licensed, EMA said.
Regeneron's antibody cocaine was authorized for emergency use in the United States in November and awarded to former US President Donald Trump during his infection with COVID-19.
The treatment, given through the dots, is part of a class of drugs known as monoclenaline antibodies, which produce copies of antibodies created by the human body to combat infections.
“As far as security is concerned, most of the side effects reported were light or moderate, however, reactions related to infusion (including allergic reactions) were seen and must be monitored,” said EMA.
Regeneron said on Thursday an independent panel found that the treatment had “clinically clear clinicants” in lowering hospital-repression levels and patients' deaths.
