Through a post on the official site, the embassy has invited citizens who show their love for the state and the family and vote, saying the future is in their hands.
This Valentine's Day shows love for your country and your family. Vote! Kosovo's future is in your hands”, said in the embassy post.
Otherwise, the Central Election Commission (KQZ) in Kosovo has announced that the voting process for early parliamentary elections is under way in order and that all polling stations have been opened over time.
“The CEC reports that according to early schedules, and in time, sensitive materials have been distributed in all polling stations. All polling stations have opened on schedule. The voting process is normally continuing”, CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has said at a media conference.
The polling stations opened at 7:00 p.m. and will be closed by 7:00.
Votering rights in these elections have 1,794,862 citizens who will vote in 888 polling stations, with 2,382 seats in Kosovo's 38 municipalities. This year, the CEC has removed some 122,000 people who have been registered only with UNMIK documents. In these elections it is said to be voted only on Kosovo documents.
Elez said there are about 30,000 observers accredited by the CEC to monitor the election process.
The CEC has certified 28 political subjects for participating in early elections for the Republic of Kosovo Assembly: 21 political parties, 2 coalitions and 5 civic initiatives.
