According to Liu, in the period 2021-2025, the country promises to reduce the average pollution density to 337 large cities by 10% compared to the level of the previous five years, writes “Xinhua”.
China, Liu recalled, has achieved targets defined by the three-year operational plan issued in 2018, registering good air quality in 337 large cities during 87% days in 2020.
Urban areas that have failed to meet the criteria set at the national level in terms of the average pM 2.5 density saw the decline in 2020 to 28.8% compared to what was achieved in 2015.
