Mrs Johnson, 33, was seen entering a London hospital wearing a mask and accompanied by a bodyguard.
The prime minister was also seen entering the hospital, accompanied by two policemen, writes the Daily Mail.
The little girl is Johnson's second child with his current wife, after a son was born in April 2020.
A couple's spokeswoman through a statement said: “Prime Minister and Mrs. Johnson gladly announce the birth of a healthy female baby at a London hospital earlier today. Mother and daughter are fine. The couple would like to thank the wonderful maternity team for their care and support”.
News of the birth of Miss Johnson came at a time of confusion at work because of the opposition to new restrictive measures and reactions to a video where government workers are seen mocking a party at the time of isolation.
