Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not backed down in regard to his time at Manchester Unitedi in autobiography Adrenaline.
The 40-year-old, who plays with Milan in Serina A, recalls that the English club has kept 1 euro pay for the fact that at the hotel it received a juice of fruit from the minibar.
I was at the hotel with the team and I was thirsty, so I went to the minibar and got a juice. A few days passed, and it was time to receive the salary. I usually don't see how much I've been counted, only at the end of the year. However, on this occasion I saw it and noticed that my salary was missing from 1 euro”, the Swedish assailant shows.
I called the team manager and told him why I had a lower euro. He told me that 1 euro was down because of the fruit juice I had received at the hotel. I thought he was joking, but he told me that United City paid everything. I was frustrated because I didn't go to the hotel on vacation, but I was representing United.
I was from work at that hotel. If it's my job to play soccer, I have to drink fluids. I can't play dehydrated. I couldn't believe they kept 1 euro, something like that would never have happened in Italy. These are details that make the difference between” clubs, Ibrahimovic recalls.
The veteran footballer had another problem from the time he played for United - the guard of the training center.
Every day, when I went to the club training center, I had to show the papers so I could get in. One day, I sat down the car window and told the person at the door that I was the lead player of the team and if he didn't know me, then he had to change his profession”, Zlatan relates.
