Today we've been proceeding to Government one of the most important bills, the one for establishing the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating of Inexcusable Riches.
This bill, which has been worked on by the best field and international experts, contains material and procedural provisions aimed at verifying and confiscating the unwarranted property of official persons, family members and politically exposed persons. At the same time, the bill guarantees respect for the rights of parties in the procedure, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, and international documents.
Prevention and punishment of misuse of public goods has been and remains one of the top priorities of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the approval and implementation of this Law is a necessary step forward in achieving that goal.
I thank all members of the working group for their contribution to drafting this bill!
