Denying Serbian genocide in Bosnia during interview with Komsic, indictment filed against Tanjug journalist

It is journalist Marko Ivas, who during his interview with BiH Presidency Chairman Zelko Komsic, on November 9th, has denied genocide in Srebrenica, even though he was determined by international and national courts' bias.

The IGC filed a criminal complaint against Ivas, claiming he had committed criminal work by Article 145a paragraph (3) of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Penal Code (3) (The Law on Changes in the BiH Criminal Code, published in the Official Journal of BiH, No. 46/21).

Komsic told the journalist that the decision confirmed that genocide had been committed in Srebrenica, and the journalist said he disagreed and declared his stance that it was a terrible “crime”. The Chairman of the BiH Presidency corrected him, then interrupted the interview after Ivas stressed that “does not reconcile” with the act, unless it is reconciled.

“Gazetar has not been dealt with facts, but with his comment and opinion directly denying the judicial, scientific and historical facts about the genocide in Srebrenica. Denying the genocide in Srebrenica, journalist humiliated genocide victims, but international courts as well. International law, international justice and international institutions, especially the UN”, the IGC said.

The institute has previously filed criminal charges against BiH presidency member Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska President Zelko Cvijanovic for denying genocide.
