The meeting comes at a time when this version has been discovered in Britain, Germany, and Italy, while French Health Minister said Sunday that this mutation is likely to be circulated in France as well.
The British government announced new measures Saturday to try to slow down the spread of the new option COVID-19, Euronews writes.
Under the measures, rigidisation of regulations are introduced for people arriving in Britain from abroad and orders for wearing masks in retail facilities and in public transport.
G7 consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Great Britain and the United Kingdom, and currently the presidency.
