Health Ministry spokesman Faik Hoti has said that the Health Ministry has been making payments since the beginning of the year to provide the vaccine against seasonal flu.
“40 000 vaccines expected to reach late October in Kosovo will be distributed to the vaccine centres and that priority groups to be vaccinated are pregnant, elderly, chronically ill. There will be pediatric doses, Hoti said.
This year will begin early inoculation with the aim of protecting citizens from seasonal flu in the autumn and winter season, the Health Ministry said. Last year the citizens' interest in vaccinated has been enormous. But they had not reached until December, while 17.5 euros were sold at the pharmacy.
Hoti has said that international health institutions that give professional recommendations have suggested that there is no problem with even those who have taken the vaccine against Avid-19, also taking a seasonal flu vaccine.
This vaccine does not prevent the next vaccine. This year we considered that the number of insurance vaccines would cover priority groups, and in this respect there would be no problem with the blood vaccine under the framework 19 or seasonal flu, he told Radio Kosovo.
Infectologists in Kosovo have earlier said it is necessary for citizens to be vaccinated against the seasonal flu as soon as possible. According to infection Sali Ahmeti, seasonal flu infection reduces the population's immunity, so they are even more vulnerable to COVID-19.
