Organised Crime: Kosovo takes 13th place in Europe, Turkey first, Serbia third

Organised Crime Index is the first means designed to measure the level of organised crime and the sustainability of this phenomenon.
The World Anti-Organised Crime Initiative has collected data on the crime level and sustainability of it to 193 member states of the United Nations Organisation, but some who are part of the UN, including Kosovo.
Through these records, this initiative has expressed hope for boosting the response to threats brought by organized crime. The index has listed the crime level by scores of 1 to 10 with the highest scores representing the worst level. The average has been released by collecting data from criminal markets, trafficking with people, smuggling, gun trafficking, crimes against nature and trade in narcotics. In the development of the report, 350 experts worldwide have participated.
The list shows that Kosovo stands best in the Western Balkan states. Serbia is the worst. Montenegro is the fifth in Europe, Bosnia and Herzegovina is the sixth -- Albania's 10th and Northern Macedonia -- 12th. Kosovo has a 5.19 criminality index, according to the report.
At the world level, the Democratic Republic of Congo led 7.75, followed by Colombia, Burma, Mexico, and Nigeria. Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Central African Republic and Honduras shut down top-tens. Turkey, like the country with the highest level of criminality in Europe, is ranked 12th on the world list.
Countries with the lowest level of criminality in the world are Tuvalu with a score of 1.54, Nauru at 1.76 and Sao Tome at 1.78.
While at the level of delinquency against criminality, Finland and Liechtenstein lead with an index of 8.42 (The higher the figure, the sustainability of this best phenomenon). New Zealand shuts down the top with an 8.38 index.
Kosovo is among the positions of 114 and 118 on this list with 4.42 index.
