Lumez: Within nine months, 1584 cases of victims were filed, 1396 were cases of domestic violence

Lumez said national co-ordinator for domestic violence cases and co-ordinators at the respective prosecutors, “, have been appointed prosecutors responsible for the cases of human beings trafficking and prosecutors at all levels of prosecutors”.
“These are some of the actions undertaken to prove the institutional commitment that cases of domestic violence, cases against sexual integrity, as well as combating trafficking with human beings are among the main priorities of daily work in carrying out constitutional and legal duties”, he said, among other things.
Lumezi stressed that during this year's nine-month period, the Office for Protection and Help of Victims has offered professional assistance to 1584 cases of total victims, of which 1396 were domestic violence. “While 445 requests for defence orders have been filed and 36 requests for emergency defence orders”, he said.
