How often do 19 clubs get together to talk only about one team? Other clubs have been worried about Newcastle's super-rich owners, considering the huge advantages they might have in their report.
Guardian has learned, that clubs have proposed a draft amending rules to make a temporary stop with transactions with interrelated parties in other words, arrangements with businesses with which club owners connect, Periscope follows.
The meeting, held Monday, was to vote on that amendment.
It was only Newcastle United that had not attended this meeting.
The vote was held, and eighteen clubs played in favour of the new rule, Newcastle United was against, while Manchester City had abstained.
But that decision was passed.
There are legal problems, however, since Newcastle is considering the decision illegal and influenced by Arab-owned claims. The case is expected to go to trial before clubs gather to make the stop in permanent terms.
In fact, other Premier League clubs are fearing a great success from Newcastle the way City had had had, through economic spending.
What's expected from now on, you don't know!
