Elvis Nachy placed family and relatives on board his foundation, where millions of euros are circulated

Elvis Nachi is a 44-year-old imam that has invaded social networks and the entire Albanian world. Naci's popularity extends beyond Albania's borders. He is known throughout the diaspora and wherever Albanians live.

Elvis Nachi serves as imam and legalist at the Tabak Mosque in Tirana and heads a television show called “Albanians for Albanians”, focused on collecting funds for charity.

Religious laws, with a modern style, very different from long - bearded classics, have provided Nachi with access even to young people, turning it into a “superstar”.

But what is the charitable foundation established by him?

On December 15, 2016, Elvich Naci asks the Tirana court to register the “Firdeus” Foundation with the aim of conducting various activities with humanitarian character.

The foundation's governing body structure is comprised of the Steering Board and Executive Director.

The board members are the founder of Elvis Nachi, Muharrem Nachi, the father of Elvis Nachi, now late and replaced by court ruling by Marvin Nachi, the son of Elvis Naci's brother, and Florian Brinja, son of Elvis Nachi's aunt.

Next, the board is added as new members, Fatime Nachi, Elvis Nachi's wife and Andy Qinami, who is Elvis Nachi's bajanaku. As executive director of the foundation, the citizen, Ilir Nachi, brother of Elvis Nach.

The Steering Board is the highest placement body of the foundation “Firdeus”. Everything happens in this foundation, managed and deployed by the board.

The entire pyramid of the direction of this foundation is actually focused on the hands of the Nachi family, brothers, cousins and people with close family ties with them, hence any decision of this foundation, is the will and desire of people close to Elvis Nac.

Unlike foundations, generally made up of intellectuals or prominent people with contributions to society, in the case of the foundation founded by Elvis Nachi, it is about his loved ones, who provide them with absolute control over the foundation's decisions.

But despite the direction of the foundation, it has a tribal character and looks like a small family structure, the extension of the foundation and the works done by it, are of huge size. A large machine, which has circulated millions of euros, donated by Albanians, for charities.

Only in the case of the earthquake that struck Albania in November 2019 has Elvis Nachi acknowledged that aid collected through the Firdeus Foundation totals over 9m euros.

Buying and selling of Continental Hospital

And as funds for this tribal-directed foundation grew and Elvis Nac shined like a hodge on television screens, a sensational movement turns the focus of media and citizens towards the activity of the foundation.

It's about buying a private hospital, which the Firdeus Foundation provided for 350 thousand euros. Hospital was sold by society “MGB” shpk, manager, Mr. Hergys Rrell. In effect, the hospital switched to ownership of the “Firdeus” foundation, run by the Naci family, paid with money donated by Albanians.

Even before the sale, the Continental Hospital was an enterprise that, in its activity, had registered constant losses of 111 million dollars, losing its entire original capital.

Elvis Nachi justified buying a private hospital, with the need to help the poor.

The management of the hospital by Elvis Nach's family foundation did not improve his financial situation at all. According to estimates, by 2020, the company's losses were 23 million lek, while the company's basic capital was minus 60 million lek. So the foundation already owned a private hospital, which only lost money.

But even with great losses, a suspicious transaction turns its attention back to Elvis Nachi and the “Firdeus” foundation. In October 2021, the hospital purchased at 350 thousand euros from Nachi, with a steady loss, it sells for almost double the value of, 850 million old money, the chief Bektasian World ancestor, led by Haxhi Baba Edmund Brahimaj, or known to Albanians as Baba Monday.

This transaction with a considerable amount, there is no economic logic. No one can understand how a hospital almost doubles in a very short time, while its finances are in constant loss.

However, Elvis Nachi had already explained the transaction. He writes on social networks, that with the sale of the Continental Hospital towards Baba Monday, he twice becomes a charity and promises a new neighbourhood for the poor in Kosovo.

Today Elvis Nachy has expanded his activity in several areas. A charismatic social network hodge, Islamic Islamic legalist in the Tabak Mosque, luxury brand vision vendors at the “Optica Elitar Milan” store, and the chairman of a foundation that possesses an extraordinary financial power.

Money donated by many citizens in Albania and throughout the diaspora is used and invested according to its decisions and its close family circle, where accountability and transparency are concepts that the foundation's own family character makes almost impossible.

Naci's activity, but also the recent transaction between his foundation and World General Bektasian, expose an extraordinary financial power, religious communities and charity foundations in Albania.

That's what raises the question; Should the state have mechanisms, providing transparency and accountability, of these charity foundations and religious communities with such great power and influence?
