The participation of Kosovo automobile drivers at FIA Hill Masters in Braga, Portugal, was not only a serious challenge because of great competition, but also because of the difficulties in transporting cars, which are now back there.
The team's captain, Ismet Rexhepi, thanks Kosovo's Customs for the contribution given in this direction. Taking into account that the Ministry of Infrastructure is not part of the international organisation, which equips sports cars with special booklets, for us was a very serious car transport challenge to Portugal and vice versa. In this case we thank the Kosovo Customs, which was very flexible and helped us a lot from the decision to participate in the race until now when the cars returned to Kosovo”, Rexhepi said.
He has also thanked sponsors, “Europagoma”, “Exfis”, “Rugovas” and the Ministry of Sports, who helped our team participate in this prestigious race.
Rexhepi has also expressed satisfaction with the performance of our contestants in Braga. Everybody's given it their maximum. Liridon Kandler had a very good showing (ranked second) but others also reasoned fully on the participation, while we were particularly the fact that two women, Arjeta Rysha and Mimoza Jetullah, competed for us. Compared to the racers' cars from other countries, our racers had modest cars, but despite that they also presented themselves quite well”, Rexhepi stressed.
In the end, he has added that Kosovo will also in the future participate in such races, wherever they are organised.
