Protesters are also told it is forbidden for more than five people to gather because of pandemic.
Police have told Serbian media they have had no information about such a protest in Belgrade.
Tens of citizens were gathered in Serbia's capital in support of Navajo.
The protest had started at the St Sava temple, where police have asked protesters for written warning of the protest.
Protest participants have then moved near the Russian Embassy in Belgrade, but that police have not allowed to gather in front of the embassy with the reason there is no space to protest.
They were given the order to disperse after they could not hold the protest.
Some protesters showed the banner with the inscription “Leirry for Navlan” that is calling for Russian authorities to release the opposition Navajo.
