Early Years of Their Love
Six weeks after Delaware Senator was elected in 1972, Joe Biden received a tragic call: His wife and college girlfriend, Neilia, had died in a car accident.
His three children were in the car with him: The daughter Naomi, 1 years old, also lost her life. While the boys Beau, 4, and Hunter, 3, were seriously injured and remained in hospital for months.
He was 30 when he became the only parent of his two sons. He took the train every evening to return home from Washington to Winmington until he met Jill three years later.
