Hoxhaj stressed that as Kosovo Foreign Minister has sought recognition for Kosovo on every continent of the world and that during the leadership of the Government by Prime Minister Thaci, 116 recognitions for Kosovo and membership in 60 international organisations have been provided.
According to him, The PDK has always been clear that Kosovo must complete its statehood and UN membership, and that this can be achieved only with wise diplomacy and with great devotion.
“Foreign policy is state ID. The way the world looks at us and knows us. Diplomacy is the living image of Kosovo, anywhere in the world. Kosovo has many young people who work every day to improve the image of our country in the world. I have never spared anything to support them in presenting and representing a real image for Kosovo.”, he said.
Hoxhaj pledged that as the next prime minister, he will invest in improving Kosovo's image and the priority of his government will be strengthening diplomatic service, deepening relations with the US and other Western friends, strengthening partnership with the European Union, as well as strengthening brotherly ties with Albania and Albanians.
Kosovo and Albanians do not need a prime minister like Albin Kurti, who goes to Tirana and clashes with the Albanian prime minister, while smiling at the Serbian prime minister. Kosovo and Albanians do not need a Prime Minister like Albin Kurti, who during the pandemic closed the border with Albania but opened the gates to Serbia to declare the state of emergency in northern Kosovo. Kosovo and Albanians do not need a prime minister, such as Albin Kurti, who split Macedonia's Albanians, taking sides in their domestic electoral battles. Kosovo and Albanians need a prime minister with foreign policy experience. And that is what all Kosovo citizens expect.”, Hoxhaj stressed.
