France helps Kosovo with medical equipment in fight against COVID-19

The Health Ministry has accepted from the French Embassy a donation that included medical equipment for combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

In charge of the health minister, Armend Zemaj said such donations as this one facilitates the work of health personnel to help patients with COVID-19, but also those in need of oxygen.

“The friendly state that has brought about future donations and continued aid in fighting global pandemic and as a strong arm of Kosovo, and our citizens to facilitate our confronting COVID-19. This long-awaited donation of considerable value and monetary and equipment is an indication that the French friendly people in these difficult situations that we are still facing in the face of pandemic is very much about us and the citizens of Kosovo. All these devices, generator and oxygen defense, various thermometers, oxygen masks will also facilitate the work of health professionals in treating patients as well as COVID, but even other patients who need this kind of treatment or therapies that need oxygen”, Zemaj noted.

In contrast, France's ambassador to Kosovo, Marie-Christine Bute, said that only with solidarity among states would Coronavirus be defeated. She said demonstrating this solidarity is this donation to Kosovo health.

We are facing a global crisis and a global crisis, both health and economic crisis. No powerful country will be able to overcome the single coronary, and we will be able to overcome this pandemic only because of solidarity. We remember, that even the World Bank in co-operation with the German state last week has donated Kosovo health to equipment for the fight of the coronary.
