Like Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Dacic referred to a statement by Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, under which Vuciq and Belgrade's current policy “demonstrated very problematic goals” to Podgorica, and that since the adoption of the Religious Freedoms Law in December, there has been strong media and political aggression from Serbia.
“It did not call on Montenegrin citizens to come out and vote, that is what Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and others -- and for Djukanovic -- did not interfere with domestic affairs”, The chief of Serbian diplomacy said.
Daciq stressed that Serbia is not interested in power in Montenegro, but only in the rights and freedoms of the Serb minority, which make up about 29% of the population there, as well as in the position of the Serbian Orthodox Church “whose properties, according to him, were targeted by Montenegrin authorities.
The State Election Commission I announced on August 30th the preliminary results of the general elections, which showed that the three coalitions of the pro-Serbian and pro-Russian opposition won more than half of the seats in the future composition of the Montenegrin parliament.
