” The approach to justice is an important criterion and a fundamental pillar of our society. So we as a responsible institution have made great progress in order to take the lead in fulfilling this constitutional obligation. As a result, in the preceding year, we've seen an increase in the number of citizens who have had access to legal assistance services for free by about 64%. This is a result of the unspoiled work of ANJF officials, OAK lawyers (in particular of those who engaged in pro-bonds), civil society organisations that collaborated with us in distributing legal information, young people like these present here with us and you media that offer us media space. However, we are aware that there is still much work to be done in this regard. That's why we've become partners with community, civil society, institutional partners like OAK and victims' defenders, as well as you as interested parties, that we can jointly convey the message to citizens about the possibility they have of seeking free legal assistance on the side to solve their legal problems without paying a cent. I'd like to invite you to attend other activities of the week, most of which become online, with the aim of informing the public as well. During the week we will make efforts to inform the most sensitive and vulnerable groups of our services (women, ethnic communities, LGBTI persons, victims of domestic violence and persons in need). So, with the support of donors and collaborators, we're going to carry out activities that are meant to conscious of all these groups. Finally, I want to thank law school students who will volunteer to help us today and during the days to inform the public about free legal assistance. As well as Mr. Speaker of the Parliament. Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, with whom we are honored to mark the opening of this week”, concludes Alai-Kanderi.
Alaj-Kanderi's Osmani continued in Pristina squares to show citizens the mission this agency has, which offers free legal assistance.
