MPs from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Blerta Deliu, have said the prime minister, Avdullah Hoti, has missed the chance for Serbia to recognise Kosovo's independence.

Blerta Deliu-Codra, deputy of the Kosovo Assembly from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), has criticised the executive leader, Avdullah Hotin, who, according to her, has missed the historic opportunity to achieve mutual recognition with Serbia.

“It is an expected visit, US officials have indicated in Washington that they will come to Kosovo for a visit. We have given our position in this meeting. The White House does not open every year, opened in 1999, 2008 and now 2020. We have lost the historic chance to ensure mutual recognition in Washington. We've been waiting for Mr. Trump's letter recognition a year ago. Our concern is not to return to the subjects that have already been closed. For us it has been unacceptable that the topic of displaced people be at the meeting. Then the Kosovo resource issue has been unnecessary. Even the minischengen is wrong. The first year's stand of all political subjects was against the minischengen, and now those statements have changed. He has fled his main position to gain mutual recognition. We have expected what he has said several times, that he is only going there for recognition”, she said in T7.

Deliu says the major processes for the country are best guided by the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

She even says it is the will of citizens who, according to her, are disappointed with parties who led the country in recent months.

The citizens tell us every day that the PDK must return to the Assembly. They know that major processes for Kosovo should be involved in the particular factor that has been and that it is the Democratic Party of Kosovo. The citizen has realized that he has fallen mad about the way he voted. After 6 October, a major disappointment has occurred, as the coalition of hope or the change that was expected was not achieved. We see a position at the crossroads of citizens who are surprised by developments happening. They have been taught that the PDK will lead the country in these” processes, Deliu said.

Asked why they have not issued signatures for the no-confidence motion initiated by the Vetevendosje Movement, Deliu said this is an insincere initiative.

Blerta Deliu shows that if the signatures necessary to take the motion to the Parliament are achieved, The PDK would vote in favour.

By the time LVV gave the idea of a motion, we realized there was nothing serious. I even heard somewhere that Vice President Nagavci said they wanted to try him. PDK. I'm saying insincere initiative because these don't take place without cooperation between subjects. When 40 signatures are provided, we can move on. The number of PDK and LVV deputies is insufficient to ensure the collapse of the government. This government is fragile. Once 40 signatures are secured we will have our role within parliament to restore civic trust in the government”, she said.

Meanwhile asked whether the Democratic Party of Kosovo has a candidate for president, the MP for this political subject, Blerta Deliu, said they have not discussed that.
