A 13-year-old Greek girl was brutally beaten by three of her peers Monday evening (August 31st) in Lamia, Greece.

According to the family lawyer, 3 girls approached 13-year-old in a town park and started beating her for more than 15 minutes who ended up in the hospital.

Police investigating the case are reviewing information under which the episode is said to have been preceded by derogatory reports and harassment via Facebook, as well as in young girls' meetings.

According to the same information, 17-year-olds -- a Greek, an Albanian and a Romanian -- had recently made derogatory comments about her appearance and behavior.

That night, the victim allegedly asked one of the 17-year-olds to explain the derogatory remarks and was later attacked by all three girls. At first, there seemed to be a willingness to compromise, but then the family filed suit.

All three minors were arrested on charges of causing bodily injury and were released at the order of the prosecutor. Apostolos Lytras ' lawyer spoke of a constant beating that lasted almost 15 minutes. And she had blood on her face, and she had bites, and gums were in her blood“
