Russian media have attended the event and the debate over Belgrade's intention to buy weapons from China, and some have openly expressed their disappointment.
In some Russian media there are titles and conclusions that “Serbia chose FK-3 instead of S-300 Russian”.
Russian media write that in June 2020, Russian state news agency TASS, calling to military-diplomatic sources, has announced that Russia has sent Serbia the 300 complex's orders application PM-2 for 2021. Although official Belgrade had not confirmed this information, some Russian media consider it accurate, the REL broadcast.
Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucic, had declared in December last year that Serbia had abandoned S300 and S400 orders and systems, following many speculations in the Russian and Serbian media, prompted by officials' statements in which the algorithm that such a system could be subject to agreement between the two states.
