A massive explosion rocked Lebanon's capital, Beirut on Tuesday, causing victims, injuries and major material damage. A response comes from the country's prime minister, Edi Rama, who through a social networking post writes:
What a sad wound! Death, wound, destruction, which you leave breathless and speechless! Comfort and solidarity with the people of Lebanon”.
So far, foreign media report about 50 victims and over 2700 injured as a result of a powerful explosion.
The hospital has claimed to be out of capacity, while the Red Cross has called for massive blood donations of each group.
A warehouse suspected of sheltering explosives caught fire and then exploded, releasing a shock wave that destroyed hundreds of buildings.
Many chaos and destructions and palaces have plagued the streets.
