They through a communique have clarified that it has nothing to do with good or ill-management of the pandemic situation in Kosovo by state institutions and NFFs, but only with measures each state implements in cases of presenting persons infected with COVID-19.
In addition, they have clarified the tender issue for the sale of television rights broadcasts of the Superleague match.
Full communication:
The Kosovo Football Federation through this reaction wants to clarify the opinion on two issues which during yesterday received attention, but were exploited by the media and certain people to create rumors about the NK.
The first issue is the suspension of the final pre-qualification match for the Champions League between Light and Linfield, which came in the wake of the U protocol dispute. EFA for matches in the time of COVID-19 with Swiss state protocols, where the match was prior to taking place. So, it has nothing to do with good or ill-management of the pandemic situation in Kosovo by state institutions and NFFS, but simply with measures that each state implements in cases of showing persons infected with COVID-19.
It will stress that FFK has taken all measures to protect and help clubs and football players of all rank from the beginning of the COVID-19 virus in June in co-operation with health institutions and other state bodies has been tested by all Superliga teams for COVID-19 and with its medical team has compiled the sanitation protocol in defense from this virus. Over the past few months, an extraordinary task has been done, and thanks to the dedication of all participants has succeeded in successfully completing the 2019/20 competition edition.
The next issue we want to clear up is intentional rumors raised by a media company about the tender for the sale of television rights broadcasts of the Superlea's matches. As a matter of fact, this company has not carried out the final financial pledge of the championship (no debt to NFF).
In this case we recall that the tender was made according to the criteria, which were taken by the Independent Media Commission and is open to all without exception; Media companies, agencies and television that meet the judicial, technical and economic criteria. The bids are reviewed by the commission set up on the issue and the winner of the tender is announced by the company offering the highest financial value, which will then be split for the Superleague clubs, which will be invited to the meeting when we have the winner of this tender.
Hence, rumours that the WK has expelled someone from the race are slander, densignation, and form of blackmail to try to capitalise on television broadcasting without competitive competition. However, they should all know that the NKK will not allow such blackmail, but it will be strict vocations for open competition and competition as much as possible so that clubs can benefit as much of the income from television rights, but at the same time the matches that are broadcast will have the widest extent of the audience.
