The NATO-led KFOR Regional Command conducted a joint patrol with the Kosovo Police in the Kamenica municipality. This patrol was carried out on foot to enable commitment with local citizens, within the framework of a common increased presence in the area agreed on in the past two days between KFOR and the Kosovo Police.
More joint patrols are planned to be carried out in the coming days as a result of a strengthened weekly co-ordination mechanism set out to boost the joint presence of the Kosovo Police and KFOR in the area, in the vicinity of the Administrative Border Line.
KFOR remains committed to continue to contribute impartially to a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all citizens in Kosovo, in close co-operation with local institutions and security organisations and the International Community, according to its mandate under UN Resolution 1244 of the 1999 Sagration Council.
