Gajni Geci accepts Shaban Syla's apology

The several-day clash between Shaban Syla and Guni Gecit over a murder committed Sunday in Drenas.

Shaban Syla's son, L.S. and two other people are suspected of killing Q.D., which occurred four days ago in the village of Nekovc.

In connection with the murder his son was arrested Wednesday, Syla raised doubts that Sunday's conflict in Nekovc had preceded a “attack by Gani Geci” on his family.

But Geci has flatly denied his involvement, or his family, in a possible attack on Shaban Syla's family. He said Wednesday that it is ready to prove his purity with 48 elders.

A day later, Shaban Syla has drawn his doubts about Gani Geci's involvement in the Nekovci conflict and has asked the Geci family for public forgiveness.

On this one, Gani Geci spoke Thursday. He has ended the debate between him and Syla.

He said he accepted Syla's apology.

I accept a request for forgiveness as a human and moral act of whomever you apologize. Once again I do not only Shaban Syla, but my father who was killed in 1981, my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great, who was killed by 1903 for doing a sneaky mean, he said.

Shaban Syla, in December 2012, was found guilty of the District Court in Pristina of attempted murder of Adem Salih, and then of the Court of Appeals, which had confirmed that ruling.

While, Gani Geci is the former Kosovo Assembly President, in which the institution has represented two political parties: LDK and LDD.
