A business in Pristina has manipulated with the amount of two types of cheese produced in northern Macedonia.
These quantum manipulations have already been verified by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).
According to the ministry's announcement, samples were taken to a business in Pristina in the second part of July.
After taking samples, the amounts of two types of cheese produced in northern Macedonia resulted in incorrectness. Two types of cheese have resulted in incorrect quantities. The samples were taken to a business in Pristina, during Trade and Industry Minister Vesel Krasniqi's visit in the second part of last month. MTI officials, following product expertise, have found that the amount traveled through the package does not match the actual amount of product, and thus the consumer has been deceived”, said the MTI media communiqué.
Following complaints by associations, as reported in the communiqué, MTI Minister Vesel Krasniqi is interested in the quality of food and, in particular, milk products.
“Business support will not be missed, but will not be allowed consumer rights to be violated”, Minister Krasniqi has declared.
Krasniqi has suggested that the main focus will be the protection of local and consumer producers.
