Lionel Messey says goodbye to Barcelona. The bomb's been dropped and it's running the world, but according to “Sport”, the Catalan club will remain determined that the 700m-euro release clause is still valid with the parties, and for that reason the case could end in court, given that the Argentinians have officially asked to unilaterally terminate the contract under a clause signed years ago.
For the Catalan club, such a clause exists but it has already expired last June. At that, President Bartholomew has summoned the club's Administrative Council in an emergency.
