The Democratic Party of Kosovo has seen with concern recent developments regarding Kosovo Telecom, which was once the most profitable public company in the country, while today is on the brink of collapse.

At a media conference, this party's deputy has even accused VV of saying in opposition and others when it is taking power in terms of Telekom's subject.

According to him, he is again the presiding brother of Vetevendosje MP Fatmire Kolcak, who has blocked Telekom's bank accounts.

This is his full statement: Days ago, the private owner paid by z-mobile, who turned out to be the brother of the Vetvendosje Movement MP Fatmir Kolcak, has blocked Kosovo Telecom's bank accounts, bringing him the brink of bankruptcy, while he himself expects to earn hundreds of thousands of euros from this process.

Such a move endangers the economic welfare of some 3,500 Kosovo families, while threatening national security through the disruption of national security institutions in Kosovo.

The PDK, as an opposition party, requires detailed investigation by the prosecution for this process and the accountability of all those who have caused this situation in Kosovo Telecom.

The Vetevendosje movement, during its opposition time in 2018, had initiated and approved a resolution in the Kosovo Assembly for Kosovo Telecom, but when none of the provisions of this resolution that it proposed did not apply it.

The government had the opportunity to help the company while in power, but it did not.

Because, the goal of Kurti Government was not to establish stability in this company, nor to save it, but it was the politicisation and capture of this enterprise, starting from the board, management to selecting private owner.

Former Minister Roseta Hajdari and the Kurti Government, with their inactions, not taking legal steps and doing no action that would prevent such a huge financial damage to Kosovo Telecom, enabled even then through the owner, the Vetvendosje MP's brother, Fatmire Kolcak, to realise this transaction of about 30m euros by kneeling on Telekom, benefiting her family.

It is very important for public opinion to understand the fact that the triangle made up of the Kurti Government Board, the political management of this company, as well as the Z-mobile Operator, not by chance among hundreds of finishers chose the brother of the Vetvendosje MP, who will benefit hundreds of thousands of euros from the company's budget.

It is clear that Kosovo's political Board of Telecom, appointed illegal by the Government under Albin Kurti, is deliberately bankrupting this public enterprise.

There are some important questions that require answers:

How much will MP Fatmire Kolcak's brother be paid from this fee at the expense of Telekom and the workers of this company?

Does he have the benefit of this contract?

How is it possible that from the hundreds of users who are in Kosovo on this subject will the family of the VV MP benefit?

For more than 100 days of government, Albin Kurti and Vetevendosje had completely forgotten that there is the surname Devolli. Therefore, how is it possible that their board, their directors, and their owners will ultimately endanger the existence of Kosovo Telecom?

The Vetevendosje movement has built theory of fraud on behalf of rooting out crime, while with its actions in installing political people in public companies, it has contributed to the failure of management in these companies, plotting cases that lead companies to bankruptcy.

Kurti government has built pyramid ties not only in Telekom, but also in other public companies, as in KEK, where the chief chief of office has not by chance been elected Louis Imer, who has family ties with Vetevendosje MP Victory Pacolli.

Albin Kurti and Vetevendosje Movement today are trying to camouflage this fact and create a new target where they would hunt for political gain.

But opinion cannot be manipulated, even though Albin Kurti attempts to deceive citizens indefinitely.

Beyond the political debate, the Democratic Party of Kosovo considers this to be the last moment to act directly, and to help save Kosovo's Telekom.

Those who damaged the company must account, while the fate of Kosovo Telecom workers should not be left to chance.

On the contrary, institutions must provide concrete and quick solutions to the rescue of this company.
