The Kosovo Afarism Oda (OAK) has expressed much concern about continuing the short-term expectations that are being made to investors through the Strategic Investment Law.
The Kosovo Afarism Oda called on the Government of Kosovo and the Ministry of Trade and Industry as soon as the commission is established to review the applications that are under way and pass businesses that meet the criteria stipulated by law.
OAK considers that attracting investments and passing pending applications is necessary, and especially in this pandemic period, which would have a positive effect.
For the most part, Kosovo's Oda of Afarism has analysed the countries of the region and offers that they have prepared for businesses interested in investing, making us the only country without concrete offers for potential investors, bringing us to a non-competitive position in comparison. In addition to Kosovo still having no financial incentives for businesses, the business environment is also described as being less appropriate compared to all countries in the region”, the OAK media community said.
“With this law - communique - is intended to create facilities for businesses that receive strategic investor status, thus creating facilities in bureaucratic procedures and speeding up administrative procedures for potential investors”.
