Kosovo A to men will gather in August. The gathering will be several days and possibly even a friendly match.
This gathering to be held in Pristina is welcome for Kosovo's selective Christos Marmarinos.
It is important that the camp be held in August, so we see the shape of our players after quarantine. We want to play an active role in their lives and help their career in the best way possible. We'll have a few days of training, we'll make sure we all remember ourselves the structure of the team and we have to work for the future. We want them to feel at home when they are with the national team”, Marmarinos has indicated to the FBK official page.
He has also talked about the importance this gathering has for Kosovo players. “We expect to assess the players' progress. We'll give others a chance to be part of the national team. The team is not a closed group but a large family that can include all who share the same values and principles. In a calmer environment, the players will have the opportunity to show their value and recognise team standards. That way, when the time comes in November we will choose among the players who are in the best shape, without excluding anyone from the” process, has added further Marmarinos.
Kosovo in the European qualifications for “Boteror 2023” has defeated Iceland 80:78 and Luxembourg at home on the 80:84 trip. In November, the Dardans are guests of Slovakia and Iceland.
Our aim is to play for victory. Victory is an important part of us and we want to make every Kosovar in the world proud of his national team. At the same time, the creation of a “Mentality of Kosovo Basketball” is equally important, and victory in this sector will inspire and form the new generation of basketball people in the country. This is our greatest goal, and this will be our final victory. Until then, we will fight in every match for victory”, Christos Marmarinos stressed.
